I Am the Messenger - Markus Zusak First off, Markus Zusak made me laugh. Out loud. On many occasions. I loved the style, characters, and especially the dialogue. Ed's interaction with his Rottweiler, the Doorman was well portrayed, and funny to boot. The plot was imaginative and heartwarming. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Writing style was fresh and fun with only a few over-kills in the single-sentence paragraph department. The ending too, seemed just below the 5 star mark as it played with magical realism, but utilized a bit too much rationalization. Regardless, the journey was delightful, and yes, marvelous.
