Chance's Take on Books

I'm a novelist who loves to read and discuss all things word-bound.

Currently reading

Swann's Way
Marcel Proust, Lydia Davis
Artful Sentences: Syntax as Style
Virginia Tufte
The Chicago Manual of Style
John Grossman, Margaret D. Mahan
I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive
Steve Earle
Treasure Island (Enriched Classics) - Robert Louis Stevenson, Anna Maria Hong I re-read Treasure Island as research for my novel. What I loved was the complex villain, Long John Silver, and his relationship with Jim. It's a wonderful and exciting tale, with so much more. The new movie is great too, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1820723/ - reminds me of why we have classic stories.
