Chance's Take on Books

The Giver - Lois Lowry I've read many excellent books, pretty good books and rip roaring entertaining books, but this is a thoughtful and beautiful book that impresses me to pay attention and understand. I wish I'd read it in my teens or twenties as the ideas would have been more novel. As of now, I've already believe the story's message, yet I'm grateful for the reminder and enjoyed the story used as a vehicle. It's not a lecture, nor a sermon from the author. The Giver is good story, well written, and touches on that which concerns our humanity. I'd highly recommend this to anyone!
